HSCA meeting and displays at Kansas City, July 28-30, 2017

Several members of the HSCA attended the Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association gun show in Kansas City, MO, the weekend of July 28-30.  Some HSCA members had collection displays for the attendees to peruse.  It was a good weekend for members to enjoy the conversation and company of fellow members.  We liked looking at the member's displays.  There were many firearms that one will never see outside of these collections.  We all went to dinner on Saturday evening at one of the local restaurants.  It was fun to talk with other members and enjoy good food.  We're looking forward to the next event.

  1. Tom Bolander was the photographer of these photos.

Notice in the first group photo that Mike has one of the traditional KC lemon bars in his hand and the "discussion group" have the lemon bars surrounded? Everyone enjoyed the 4 pans of homemade lemon bars. 23 HSCA members/spouses enjoyed the Saturday night dinner. What a great time! Even more fun will be had at the 2017 HSCA Annual Meeting in Tulsa, OK in November.

The 2017 HSCA Western Regional will be August 19-20 in Portland, OR. Another great opportunity to meet great folks and see interesting Hi-Standards on display.

Come join the fun/HS talk/HS education at these HSCA meetings. Some of the friendliest people in the world collect High Standards!

  2. It looks like there were some great displays and a good time for all! I couldn't be there this time, but I will be in Portland for sure! I made it to the Portland meet last year, and it was excellent, and the gun show itself was good too! Hope to see you in Portland. Mike Gallion
